OPAP scholarships are available to students currently registered:
(1) at a Greek university on a Masters programme in the social sciences, focusing on the EU and/or SE Europe to study for one term at the LSE’s European Institute, January-March 2013; or
(2) for a PhD at a Greek University and who wish to study for a similar period at the LSE. Their research should be within one or more of the disciplines of political science, economics, or international relations. They must be in their second or third year of PhD study and their research should have relevance to Greece and/or Europe.
Each scholarship provides for payment of LSE tuition fees during this period, and a contribution to
living expenses of £5,000 GBP. Scholarship holders do not graduate from the LSE, but are expected to integrate their LSE studies into their home programme.
The deadline for applications is 25 November 2012.
Students should follow the application procedure outlined at
http://www2.lse.ac.uk/europeanInstitute/study/OPAPScholarships.aspx
Students will be notified by e-mail no later than 9 December 2012. Incomplete or late applications cannot be accepted. Applicants must be nominated by the academic director of their current Masters/PhD programme, indicating his/her approval.
