The 50th Australian Export Awards were presented at a gala event in the Great Hall at Parliament House, Canberra on Tuesday 27 November 2012.
Twelve companies were recognised for their exporting success in agribusiness, arts and entertainment, education and training, minerals and energy, services and manufacturing.
Trade Minister Craig Emerson hosted the event. He said the wide range and high calibre of the winning group reflected the depth and diversity of the Australian economy.
"In 50 years, Australia has been transformed into an open, competitive economy with close trade and investment links to Asia," Dr Emerson said.
"As we turn our attention to the next wave of opportunity the Asian Century will bring, exporters will play a more important role than ever.
"I congratulate tonight's winners and wish them continued success in the future."
Together, the 78 national finalists contributed $8.6 billion in export earnings to the Australian economy, and employed more than 27,000 people.
The 50th Awards was co-presented by Austrade and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
